Understanding Matter

If you were thinking about the universe it would be easy to confuse yourself thinking that you were dealing with two distinct things, energy and matter, however I think it would make more sense for the purposes of this conversation, to think in terms of speed, rather than tangibility. You could consider that light is moving at a fixed speed, the speed of light, and that as it slows down, it become more and more dense. How is it slowing down? Through circulation and reflection within certain boundaries. This brings us to what I would consider one of the more fascinating studies, that of cymatics, which the study of waves of energy and the patterns that arise when they reflect and interact.

Lets first look at what happens in an open medium, or a wave moving in one direction.
